Two policemen were arrested for the murder of a taxi driver in Puente Hierro

The detainees are registered as Freides Jesús Camacho Reyes and Damian Rafael Ortiz Flores, with the hierarchy of officers, attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Division of the PNB

Two officials of the Bolivarian National Police were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of taxi driver Nicolás Fermín (23), judicial sources said.

The detainees are registered as Freides Jesús Camacho Reyes and Damian Rafael Ortiz Flores, with the hierarchy of officers, attached to the Anti-Kidnapping Division of the PNB.

The officers were handed over by the PNB to the Cicpc Homicide Division for their respective filing and criminal prosecution.

Fermín’s body was located this Thursday morning inside his vehicle, a black Aveo with AC8900F plates, which was parked on Los Flores street, Puente Hierro, Santa Rosalía parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas.

The taxi driver came from Anzoátegui state in the company of two doctors who arrived in Caracas for a conference. The Aveo was intercepted by another vehicle from which a subject got out and if more shot at Fermín’s face and then fled, according to initial investigations.
