The works of the David Paniagua case will be transferred to Santa Cruz

Fabol’s general secretary, David Paniagua, received good news this Wednesday: the works of his case will be transferred to Santa Cruz. Paniagua has been detained in the San Pedro jail in La Paz, since the first days of February, for a complaint of multiple fraud.

This Wednesday a release action hearing was held in the eastern capital with the sponsorship of constitutional lawyer William Herrera Áñez and there it was possible for the investigation to continue in Santa Cruz.

“After assessing the grounds, evidence, and oral arguments in the virtual hearing, the judge of Constitutional Guarantees granted guardianship and ordered that, in respect of the right of the natural judge and due process, the investigation notebook and procedural notebook must be sent immediately to the city of Santa Cruz; place where the investigative acts must continue and later the jurisdictional control judge will be the one who decides the legal situation of Dr. David Paniagua Yépez ”, says a statement issued by Fabol.

“Since the beginning of this false and armed denunciation, as FABOL we defended the innocence of our general secretaryly we denounce the violation of their fundamental rights by Judge Freddy Choque and the prosecutor Félix Pacoricona ”, added the statement from the footballers’ union.

Fabol clarifies that an investigation has never been denied; however, he always said to demand “respect for due process, the right to defense, the presumption of innocence and the natural judge of our general secretary David Paniagua”
