Colonel Ernesto De León Echevers was appointed by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, as General Director of the Benemérito Fire Department of Panama in Charge, replacing Colonel Abdiel Solís who resigned.
Colonel De León Echevers has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a Specialty in Power Systems and Electronics from the Technological University of Panama, he has a Postgraduate Degree in Fire Fighting and in Business Administration and Management, both from the Antonio Nebrija University in Spain.
Likewise, he has a Master’s Degree in Civil Protection, Emergencies and Self-protection Plans from the European Institute of Business Studies, a Master’s Degree in Rescue and Fire Fighting from the Euroinnova Business School Postgraduate Studies Center and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the European Institute of Studies Business Administration and Rey Juan Carlos University, all in Spain.
In his resume he stands out: President of the Technical Board of Engineering and Architecture (JTIA) and President of the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA) from 2009 to 2010 and Director of the College of Electrical, Mechanical and Industry Engineers (CIEMI ) from 2007 to 2008.
The general director of the Benemérito Fire Department of Panama in Charge, has extensive experience in Business Administration, Design, Planning and Management Engineering in private projects on a national, international and governmental scale.
He has accumulated 20 years in construction and maintenance contract management, with an emphasis on budget and performance control, management, and evaluation, and more than 24 years of experience in design, inspection, auditing, and quality control assurance with an emphasis on quality control systems. low, medium and high voltage electricity.
He specializes in the development of consultancies, including auditing and expertise of construction and maintenance contracts in industrial and residential systems, in addition to the identification, planning, and projection of cash flow and has also served as a teacher, among others.
