Nicolás Maduro stressed that the US measure on Citgo is unparalleled and that Donald Trump did not dare to carry out this “dispossession”. The Minister of Petroleum and President of PDVSA, Pedro Tellechea, said that 126 million liters of fuel have been secured for agri-food production and the development of the 2023 Planting Plan.
The governor Nicolas Maduro repudiated general license 42, issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), which endorses the auction of the Venezuelan company Citgo Petroleum Corporation, based in the United States.
This Thursday, May 4, during the second productive meeting for the agri-food chain, the president said that the dispossession of the company was forged.
«The rat of Juan Guaido He fled abroad to coordinate the robbery of the Citgo company,” he said.
At the same time, Maduro pointed out that the US measure on Citgo is unparalleled: “Donald Trump did not dare to do it, to hand over the Citgo company to him so that he could sell it however he wanted, when he wanted.”
The ruler maintained that the Venezuelan people “repudiate and reject the blatant actions of robbery carried out by the US Government in the 21st century.”
In this sense, he condemned “the largest robbery and looting that any nation in the world has faced, the one executed by the Government of Joe Biden.” He reiterated that the only owner of Citgo is the people through PDVSA and, as officials from his administration did before, he maintained that the US boycotted the international conferencel on Venezuela that was held on April 25 in Colombia.
He stressed that Citgo “is a powerful company that came to have more than six refineries and more than 10,000 gas stations, storage areas and ports.”
On the other hand, Maduro reported on the allocation of 100 chutos to the National Transport Company and said that they were recovered by the State through the Organic Law of Asset Forfeiture recently sanctioned by the National Assembly (AN) of 2020.
