The XIX Ernest Hemingway International Colloquium is taking place in Havana until May 5 as part of the First International Congress of Cultural Heritage.
The Universal Art building of the National Museum of Fine Arts was chosen as the venue, where it will be held until the appointment until this Friday, May 5 and in which researchers, students, promoters and cultural managers, among other guests, participate.
The Colloquium commemorates the 70th anniversary of the delivery of the Pulitzer Prize (1953) to the famous American writer and the 70th anniversary of the publication in Cuba of “El Viejo y el Mar”, for which Hemingway received the Nobel Prize for Literature.
In addition, during its previous dates, a large delegation of national and international participants have intervened with the aim of promoting the exchange of information with specialists and institutions related to the Museum and confronting recent works about the life and work of the well-known writer.
