The cross of Christ is for all of us the best summary of the history of salvation. Out of love, our Lord Jesus gave up his life for us and, hanging on the tree, shed his blood. Oh, blessed cross, that you raised the Savior so that everyone can be attracted to him! Oh, tree of life, that you give us the most holy fruit that restores us to immortality! Give us, Lord, the grace to contemplate your cross and thus be infected with your love, which overcomes our sins and weaknesses. Peace and good.
