Michael Douglas won the Best Actor Oscar in 1988 for the role of New York stockbroker Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street” of Oliver Stone. The sequel, “Wall Street 2: Money never sleeps”was screened out of competition at Cannes in 2010.
He was also awarded as a producer for the film “Some one flies over the cuco’s nidus” by Milos Forman, who won the Oscar for best picture in 1976.
The 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 16 to 27, and must announce the composition of the jury, chaired by the director Ruben Östlundwho won his second Palme d’Or last year for his film “The triangle of sadness”.
