María Gabriela Hassan Murillo served as co-general manager of the International Airports Administration Company (EAAI) from July 2022 to January 2023. Relationship with Rosario Murillo
Hassan Murillo is the daughter of Omar Hassan Morales and Lourdes Murillo Zambrana, the latter sister of Rosario Murillo, the deputy dictator of Nicaragua. Omar Hassan Murillo is the brother of journalist Anuar Hassan, Rosario’s ex-husband in the 1970s and with whom he had a son who died in the 1972 earthquake in Managua. Omar Hassan is also the brother of Moisés Hassan, a member of the National Reconstruction Board after the overthrow of the Somoza dictatorship, now in exile.
Omar Hassan Morales was a collaborator of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN). He died assassinated on May 12, 1979 in the “Xiloá Massacre” in Residencial Bosques de Xiloá, very close to Ciudad Sandino, when his daughter was two months old.
