A colleague and friend of E. Jean Carroll, the woman who has accused former President Trump of raping her in a New York department store in the 1990s, testified Tuesday that Carroll had called her immediately after the alleged incident.
Trump has repeatedly denied that it happened, saying that Carroll made his claims public in order to sell his books.
Journalist and author Lisa Birnbach testified in support of Carroll’s claims in the civil lawsuit against the former president.
She said she and Carroll discussed whether she should report the rape to authorities before agreeing not to speak of the incident again.
The case is the subject of a civil lawsuit between Trump and Carroll, who is suing him for assault and defamation.
Carroll concluded his own testimony yesterday Monday.
Tuesday’s testimony also included a woman who alleges Trump abused her on a plane in the 1970s.

Jessice Leeds, 81, said she was in her 30s when she met Trump on a daylight flight to New York.
The woman said a man introduced himself as Donald Trump and after eating together “all of a sudden, Trump decided to kiss and grope me.”
“There was no conversation,” Leeds said. “It was like out of nowhere. It was like a fight. He was trying to kiss me, trying to pull me to him. He was grabbing my breasts. It was like he had 40 trillion hands.”
Leeds said it was freed from Trump and returned to its economy class seat.
More than a dozen women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct, harassment and assault.
