In a meeting, the Minister of Transport, Ángela María Orozco, together with the General Director of National Planning, Alejandra Botero, and the Deputy Minister of Finance, Fernando Jiménez, led the meeting that was held with the Mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, where reaffirmed their support in the projects of trunk street 13 and the second lineto of the Bogota Metro line.

“From this Ministry we have all the will and commitment to carry out sustainable urban mobility projects such as Line 2 of the Metro and Calle 13. As a Nation, we are certain that these two projects, together with the first line of the Metro, its main feeders and the Regiotram de Occidente, will form a network of sustainable, safe and quality mobility for allOrozco said.

Hand in hand with the pre-feasibility studies presented by the Bogota Mayor’s Office, the alternative selected for the Second Line of the Bogotá Metro would be the layout starts at Caracas avenue with 72nd streetwhere it connects with the first section of the first metro line.
Currently, the Second Line of the Bogotá Metro is in structuring phase and completed the project will benefit 2.5 million inhabitants north of the capital.
