The brothers Bruno and Marco Bulacia had an outstanding participation in the Terras D’Aboboreira Rally in Portugal, over the weekend. B.runo prevailed in the TGR Iberian Cup, while Marco was second in the Rally 2 category.

The competition was valid for the Portuguese championship rally and also for the European championship of the modality and had nine special tests.

Bruno, the youngest of the Bulacias, raced in a Toyota car with the Spanish Alex Coronado as navigator and It had impeccable handling (see video at the end of the note) to win the victory, accumulating a time for the general classification of one hour, 12 minutes and five seconds (1h12’05”). Furthermore, he leads the TGR Iberian Cup championship, with 54 points.

The second place was occupied by the Portuguese Ricardo Costa who was 54 seconds behind the Bolivian pilot. The podium was completed by the Spanish Alberto Monarri, who finished one minute and 26 seconds behind Bulacia.

For his part, Marco competed in a Skoda R5 car with the Spanish Diego Vallejo as a navigator The time spent by the oldest of the Bulacias was 1h07’49”. The winner in his category was the British Kris Meeke with a time of 1h07’33”. The third position went to the Spanish Alejandro Cachón, who stopped the clock at 1h07’54”

Both drivers from Santa Cruz took this race as part of their preparation for the fifth date of the World Rally Championship, which will run in Portugal between May 11 and 14.
