The National Unitary Union of Public Employees of the National Parks Institute (Sunep-Inparques) denounced on Saturday, April 29, that 150 motorcycles went up simultaneously to the Humboldt Hotel, in El Ávila, where this type of activity is prohibited since it degrades and deteriorates this National Park, which is, therefore, a protected area.
According to information shared by that union association on Twitter, Inparques (National Parks Institute) would have allowed the entry of motorcycles and, in fact, the coordinator of the Waraira Repano, Ramón Campos, would have been present when they entered, which it was made from the Llano Grande sector.
«Is the environment protected or are they taken care of? business? New attack on our beloved mountain. Today the promotion of high displacement motorcycles was authorized simultaneously. No to the commodification of El Ávila National Park,” the organization wrote on its social networks.
