The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) sent an official invitation to the prominent actor and martial artist Jackie Chan to visit Cuba in his capacity as president of the Culture and Peace Committee of the prestigious Charhar Institute, the Cuban ambassador to Cuba reported this Saturday. The Cuban diplomat personally delivered the invitation to Chan, who visited the island’s embassy in China accompanied by Dr. Han Fangming, president of the aforementioned Charhar Institute.

In said meeting, Jackie Chan “confirmed special affection for Cuba and our people,” Pereira said on the Twitter social network. The Cuban ambassador said that, if his visit to the Caribbean territory takes place, it will be a party that will be enjoyed to the fullest on the island, as has happened for many years with his films.
Jackie Chan (69 years old) already had been at the Cuban embassy in China in April of last year, when he recognized the work of the Cuban School of Wushu and its founder and director, Master Roberto Vargas Lee. In that meeting, moreover, he expressed his desire to see the island.
