The Ministry of Health, through the National Directorates of Pharmacy and Drugs and Food Control and Veterinary Surveillance, participated in the procedure to verify the activity of alleged clandestine manufacturing of products with therapeutic properties.
This procedure was carried out this Friday at the request of the Public Ministry and with the presence of the National Police, in the El Cangrejo area, where this laboratory that was operating clandestinely was dismantled and medications were seized.
In the place it was possible to locate rolls of product labels indicating therapeutic actions, plastic bags with powdered substances, encapsulation equipment, empty hard gelatin capsules, empty containers of dubious origin. Due to all the findings found, all the products were withheld and withdrawn.
In accordance with the norm, the case was forwarded to the Ministry of Health so that the respective Legal Advice Coordinations proceed with the corresponding legal process.
The Ministry of Health urges the population to avoid the consumption of products without sanitary registration, since these put health at risk.
