CGE: Puente Alto, San José de Maipo and Pirque were the communes with the most power outages due to crashed poles in 2021

The Metropolitan region was the one that suffered the most power outages in the country during 2021 due to shocks to poles, according to the General Electricity Company (CGE) in a report.

According to the CGE study, the communes most affected by these collisions were those located in the Cordillera province, that is, Puente Alto, San José de Maipo and Pirque, with 260 incidents of this type.

In the RM they are followed by San Bernardo (237), Melipilla (162) and Talagante (157). In the entire capital region, 590 accidents of this type occurred during 2021.

At the national level, according to the electricity company document, customers in Talca (129), Curicó (112), Rancagua (105), Arica (105), Calama (101), Coronel (101), Antofagasta have also been affected. (99), Concepción (97), San Vicente (93), Buin (93), La Serena (92) and Coquimbo (88).
