The General Director of the Meritorious Fire Department of the Republic of Panama (BCBRP), Colonel Abdiel Américo Solís, presented his irrevocable resignation to the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, from the position he holds in the Institution.
According to a statement from the entity, Colonel Solís retired from office for personal reasons and his resignation will be effective as of May 8. In his resignation letter, he thanks Cortizo for the trust placed in directing the Institution.
Solís was appointed as Director General of the BCBRP on August 13, 2020 by the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.
