As has happened with other political cases, the alleged crime of which Baldelomar is accused is not detailed, it only states that the victim is “Nicaraguan society and the State of the Republic of Nicaragua.”

In the same indictment, presented by prosecutor Heydi Estela Ramírez Olivas, six other people are accused, identified as Arnoldo Horacio Guillén Monterrubio, Martha Lorena Centeno Marín, Hazel del Socorro Martínez Ulloa, Luis Enrique Obando Palma, Ivonne Patricia Espinoza Hurtado and Enner Herrera.

Arnoldo Guillén is an architect who was imprisoned when he was in a hotel in the city of Corinto, but four days later he was exiled to Mexico, because he also had Mexican citizenship.

Detained in District III of the Police, in Managua

After nine days of not knowing where Baldelomar was being held, relatives informed Article 66 which is locked up in District III of the Police, in Managua.

Despite the fact that the Ortega Police did not provide any information about his situation, his relatives, according to Hants Ismael Baldelomarthe son of the opposition member, had to wait “until lunch time” to be able to send him food and some clothes.

“The officers did not allow my mother’s relatives to see her, because they claimed that no visit is authorized,” added the son of the also member of the Constitutionalist Liberal Party (PLC).

Brenda Lee Baldelomar celebrated her 48th birthday yesterday, Tuesday, April 25, however, she could not celebrate it because she was detained by Daniel Ortega’s Police.

Since the beginning of April, the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo launched a wave of arbitrary detentions against opponents. According to Blue and White Monitoring, to date, the rregime has detained 39 peopleamong which are the student leader Jason Salazar and the former politician Olesia Munoz.

Recently, the Ortega regime declared April 19 the National Day of La Paz, but its repressive wave continues, and despite the fact that on February 9 it exiled 222 former political prisoners, little by little it continues to fill the different prisons of the country, an action that is condemned by human rights organizations and the international community.
