Renewable Energy Bill will be presented to the AN

The draft of Renewable and Alternative Energy Law It will be presented to the National Assembly (AN) for the first discussion to begin in plenary.

The president of Parliament’s Permanent Commission on Energy and Petroleum, Ángel Rodríguez, indicated that the project will be presented on July 1.

In accordance with AN press releasepointed out that another national consultation will be held in the coming weeks, this time with the country’s communal councils to gather their proposals and contributions to this legal instrument.

To start the consultations, the commission will be deployed in the state of Mérida to visit the public system of solar panels installed in the Andean entity.

With this system, more than two thousand people are served. The project will also be presented at the Universidad de Los Andes.

“We will take the opportunity to visit this important solar panel system to verify its operation and how it has benefited part of the Merida population. In addition, we will disseminate the Renewable and Alternative Energies Bill at the Universidad de los Andes (ULA), in the faculties and schools linked to this sector”, he asserted, quoted in a press release.

He stressed that, due to the amount of resources that Venezuela has in energy matters, it is necessary to discuss this project.

This law – he indicated – will allow the regulation of energy resources, considered strategic, for the productive sector of Venezuela.
