They confirm that the explosion in Anzoátegui was due to the accumulation of gases

The Minister for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Cabellos Ichaso, confirmed that the explosion registered in a house in the Pueblo Viejo Residential Complex in Puerto La Cruz, in the northern area of ​​Anzoátegui, it was the product of the accumulation of flammable gases.

Through social networks, Ceballos explained on Tuesday night that the cause of flash combustion was scientifically determined and that “the chemical technical expertise They rule out the presence of high explosive material, only gas”.

He also explained that the non-existence of the mercaptan product was also determined, “used to add odor to natural gas in the event of a leak” and announced that the fuel supplier company in the home network of that urbanization located in the El Morro Tourist Complex is being investigated. , located between the municipalities Urbaneja and Sotillo.

Ceballos reported that the conclusion presented is the result of investigations instructed by the Public Ministry and the ministry it directs, by the Criminal and Criminal Scientific Investigation Corps (Cicpc), Firefighters, Sebin and Civil Protection.

On the other hand, Ceballos recalled that the event resulted in the unfortunate physical loss of the citizen Eglis Marchan and that four people were injured.

He confirmed that the shock wave of the explosion “had a destructive and dispersive effect on infrastructure, people, vehicles and boats.”
