Solidarity Income is expanded

Starting in March, the increase of one million households as beneficiaries of the Solidarity Income program. This was confirmed by the director of Social Prosperity, Susana Correa Borrero, who announced and confirmed that the program will increase its coverage starting next month.

This will go from 3 million homes to 4, 85 million participating households. The measure is one of the answers with which the National government hopes to curb the impact of inflation on the poorest households.

Thus, all households covered by the program they will receive $160,000 in March, April and May. And starting in June, thanks to the Social Investment Law, the program will include differentiated payment values, depending on the number of household members and poverty levels.

According to Social Prosperity, the focus for expanding coverage will focus on households living in extreme poverty, according to information from the Sisben IV.
