The Montevideo Departmental Anti-drug Brigade carried out an operation in Colón, called Operativo Aurelio, with several raids that led to the arrest of five people, all members of a gang that trafficked drugs.
Drug traffickers sold drugs in Sayago, Lezica, Nuevo París and La Teja, in addition to Colón, and the Police carried out seven simultaneous raids in order to arrest these people. One of the raided places was a warehouse in Colón, reported Telemundo and confirmed The Observer with sources from the Ministry of the Interior.
The Police seized cocaine, marijuana, LSD, more than $34,000, two cars, precision scales and implements to dose the drug.
