The reconstruction of the Old Pier in Nueva Palmira was authorized. The work will be carried out by the consortium Saceem – Dieste & Montañez SA
The work had been requested by the National Director of Hydrography, Marcos Paolini from Palmyra, and the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle, signed the authorization for the investment that had been in the pipeline since last year a few days ago.
Although it is unknown when the works will begin, it is estimated that it will be in the first semester of that year, beginning with the total removal of the wood. The structure will be made of iron and the walkway (dock floor) of wood, based on the plan drawn up by Hydrography technicians.
