Since last April 13, the young man from Estel has been kidnapped by the Ortega Police Robin Miguel Ramirez, who is the coordinator of the Effetá Youth Ministry, of the Cruz del Calvario parish. The young man also coordinates the youth ministry of the Clemente Carranza Deanery and is in charge of the Formation Area at the diocesan level.
Ramirez has characterized himself as a young man dedicated to the work of the Catholic Church, serving as Pastoral Coordinator for approximately three years.
At 22 years of age, Ramirez became another victim of the dictatorship, since, according to parishioners, before arresting him, they had also taken the person who cares for the Blessed Sacrament. “The police want to prohibit visits to the Blessed Sacrament,” commented an Estelian.
They take custody, but they release him
The other Catholic who had been detained was released the following day. However, the young Robin Ramírez remains behind bars and allegedly does not allow food to be brought to him.
“This is an injustice. The only reasons they could have for imprisoning Robin is the diabolical persecution they have against the Catholic Church, he has been a humble kid who only spends time in church things and studying his career, “said another young Catholic.
In addition to studying and serving in the Church, Ramírez works at a fruit stand in this same northern city. He lives next to his godmother; an elderly lady.

The youth ministry leader was arrested in the morning of April 13. The repressors of the dictatorship came to his house, “chained” him and put him in the patrol car, but unlike other detainees they did not put him in the truck.

“They took him on foot with his handcuffs on and thus they traveled to the El Rosario neighborhood, then they took him to the Boris Vega police station, which is at the other end of the city,” explained a source who believes that the tour was with the in order to humiliate him and leave a clear repressive message for other Catholics
That day, Robin Ramirez was wearing a Church T-shirt. Parishioners are praying for him and demanding his release.
