The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reiterated the party’s commitment to the fight against corruption and anti-values, as ordered by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

The political leader in his statements expressed that “the total, absolute and full incorporation of the National Directorate of the PSUV and the PSUV Youth in the fight ordered by the head of state against corruption, against deviations, vices, bureaucracy and negligence”, this was highlighted during the weekly meeting of the red awning.

In this sense, Cabello pointed out that the PSUV “rejects any act of corruption and we reiterate that it is not corruption that is going to put us on the defensive, the fight against corruption is one of the fundamental lines in any revolution, it is more It is essential that a true revolution have the fight against corruption among its lines of action”.

For this reason, he insisted that the fight against corruption will not cease, “wherever they get involved, we go for them, how they disguise themselves, we go for them.”

In addition, he stressed that the first 18 articles of the Asset Forfeiture Law, a fundamental legal instrument in the fight against corruption, were approved in the first discussion, since it will allow the Executive to have access to assets linked to illegal activities.

Opposition

On the other hand, Cabello referred to the case of Juan Guaidó by pointing out that his candidacy for the primary elections of the national right was withdrawn by his own colleagues, a situation that led him to leave the country, “That is the truth, his party He decided that he was not going to continue being a candidate and before that he abandoned his own people and we will see what he will say from the outside.

He explained that the opposition requested the participation of the National Electoral Council (CNE) for the development of possible primary elections, without the use of fingerprint scanners, to which the institution replied that without the use of this tool the technical assistance cannot be provided. request, for this reason, described as contradictory that the opposition intends to participate in the presidential elections.

The first vice president of the red awning stressed that the Venezuelan electoral system is characterized by its participatory and leading democracy, a value that makes it the safest in the world.

Finally, he referred to the speculation on the part of opposition factors that have disseminated false information related to a possible salary increase and said that “there is no meeting where the President does not propose alternatives for workers, it is up to the National Executive to announce what have to announce about it”.
