Mexico City, Mexico- With signs that read “Get out of Peru, Zamora rooster, Cuban hit man”, a group of Peruvian citizens protested in front of the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Lima, Peru.

The protesters belong to the Resistencia, Dios, Patria y Familia group, which identifies itself as the “first anti-communist and anti-caviar Right Movement in Peru that emerged on the streets in 2018.”

Orlando Gutierrez-Boronatcoordinator of the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (ARC), who recently visited Peru and exchanged with some allied organizations explains that this is “a coalition of pro-democracy and anti-communist citizen movements. They understand that the Cuban regime tries to subvert the democracy of their nation.

Gutiérrez-Boronat, who visited Lima last March, comments to Cubanet that he perceived a people that “has awakened to the communist danger, that they know they escaped from a dictatorship that was on that path and that has grown in its awareness of struggle for defending his country against totalitarianism”.

In the protest, Peruvian citizens asked that their Foreign Ministry expel the highest representative of the island in this South American country and accused him of being involved in different acts of destabilization in Bolivia and Peru.

Carlos Rafael “El gallo” Zamora Rodríguez, the man the cartels target is a Cuban colonel with 50 years of experience in infiltration and intelligence services, who serves as the island’s ambassador to Peru.

Enrique García Díaz, a former Cuban intelligence officer, known in the system by the alias “Walter” considered that if Havana sent its most prepared intelligence man in the hemisphere to Lima, it means that Peru is classified as a high priority for the long-standing Cuban dictatorship. Or it was, with Pedro Castillo in power.
