The passage through the Los Ruices Distributor of the Francisco Fajardo highway – now Cacique Guaicaipuro – is closed this Saturday, April 22, for maintenance work.

The Minister of Transportation, Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, reported through his Twitter account that “the staff of La Empresa Nacional de Mantenimiento Vial SA (send) is immediately attending to the situation of the Bridge ».

Last Friday, April 21, through social networks, several users warned of the sinking of one of the bases. With photos and videos, they exposed failures that are registered in the distributor that connects Caurimare and El Cafetal with the main avenue of Los Ruices.

Among the complaints was that of the photojournalist Jesús Medina, who published images that exposed the cracks and separations in the concrete and the bases of the bridge used by hundreds of vehicles daily when leaving the Francisco Fajardo highway at the height of Los Ruices.

Until after 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 22, no authority indicated how long the work would take at the Los Ruices Distributor.
