The Nicaraguan Francisco Javier Pineda, 34, brother of the released political prisoner Jeysi Lagos, is in serious condition in a hospital in Florida, in the United States. Pineda apparently slipped from a roof he was repairing and fell.
The accident suffered by the Nicaraguan suggests that he worked without the safety measures recommended in this type of work. According to Lagos, after his fall, his brother suffered serious head injuries and broke both arms, for which he was rushed to a Jacksonville hospital, where doctors managed to stabilize him.
The released politician said that Pineda must now undergo a series of therapies and future medical tests to rule out further effects on her health.
