Two people allegedly linked to Aggravated Theft in the Marking modality were apprehended this morning through Operation Themis carried out by the National Police and the Public Ministry in the San Miguelito district and the San Felipe corregimiento.
The investigation for this case originated in the province of Veraguas, on February 14, 2023, where several subjects marked a person who had withdrawn approximately $16,000 from a bank branch in the Santiago district, breaking the glass of the car that was kept in a commercial parking lot and they steal the cash.
The same investigations allow the suspects to be identified, resulting in the development of Operation Themis, by specialized units of the DIJ and DNIP, search proceedings are carried out where two required are apprehended and technological equipment, various documents and other evidence are confiscated.
Both apprehended and the evidence are forwarded by order of the Public Ministry to continue with the judicial process.
