The Venezuelan Association in Chile asked the embassy in that country and the CNE to hold a day to update the Electoral Registry
The Venezuelan Association in Chile reported on its social networks that in the southern nation there are 375,000 Venezuelans who meet the requirements to vote in the 2024 presidential elections, for which they ask the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country to pronounce itself to explain the conditions of when a foreigner has “legal residence” or “condition of legality”.
Through a thread in Twitter, the NGO recalls that these are the requirements that are in Venezuelan law so that those who are outside the country can exercise their right to vote. For this reason, he indicated that the Chilean Foreign Ministry indicated that a foreigner has legal residence when he has temporary, permanent or official residence.
In this sense, they call on the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the Venezuelan Embassy in Chile to hold a day to update the Electoral Registry in order to be able to vote in the 2024 elections. For this reason, the NGO compared the situation with the country austral when reporting that there are already 3,000 citizens registered to vote in that nation.

The National Primary Commission asked the CNE on several occasions the need to update the Electoral Registry both inside and outside the country for the 2024 elections, asserting that at least four million Venezuelans live abroad and have no way to how to enroll.
