President Maduro congratulates Díaz-Canel on his re-election

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated his Cuban counterpart, Miguel Díaz-Canel, on Wednesday for being re-elected for a second five-year term in the Caribbean country.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, the Head of State wished the greatest success in this new management on behalf of the Venezuelan people.

“Today #Apr 19, a day filled with so much historical and victorious burden for the Cuban people, the National Assembly of Popular Power of Cuba re-elected @DiazCanelB as president. From Bolivarian Venezuela we send you our congratulations and we wish you every success, ”wrote the head of state, on his Twitter social network account.

Earlier, the National Assembly of Popular Power (ANPP) of Cuba approved the re-election of Miguel Díaz-Canel, after he obtained 97.66% of the votes of the deputies.

Also, Salvador Valdés Mesa was re-elected as Vice President of the country. While in the post of Prime Minister of Cuba, it was ratified Manuel Marrero Cruzat the proposal of the president.

In addition, among the popular leaders ratified in the positions of vice prime ministers are: Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, Ines María Chapman, Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella and Alejandro Gil Fernández.
