Caracas authorities honor 213 years of the first cry of Independence

From the Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, the mayoress of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, accompanied by the head of the Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, lead the acts of honor, in commemoration of the 213 anniversaries of the first cry for independence on April 19, 1810.

Likewise, they went to the Chapel of Santa Rosa de Lima, where the president of Fundapatrimonio, V/A María Elisa Domínguez Velasco, and the representative of the Caracas Museum Foundation, Ronaldo Rodríguez, delivered into the hands of Mayor Meléndez and head of the Government of the Capital District, the Minutes Book of the Supreme Junta of Caracas, which contains the Minutes of April 19, 1810.

“Through our blood runs the mixture of those who forged the fight for more than 500 years. They are our Liberators (…) We are advancing in that defense, we have the responsibility of guaranteeing independence, sovereignty and peace on our shoulders ”, he asserted.

Likewise, he stressed that the Bolivarian Government continues with all the strength and energy, to continue the permanent struggle, with the aim of keeping the country free. “As Bolívar said, governing and obeying the people.”

Earlier, the events led by the Sectoral Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, began with the hoisting of the National Flag on the main pole, located in the vicinity of the National Pantheon and the Mausoleum of El Libertador .
