Install III Mixed Commission between Venezuela and Bolivia

In order to strengthen and deepen bilateral relations and cooperation between Venezuela and Bolivia, this Wednesday the III Mixed Commission between both countries was installed in the Casa Amarilla, in Caracas.

From the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, welcomed the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta.

“We commit ourselves before President Luis Arce and President Nicolás Maduro to continue advancing on the path that our historical leaders, Hugo Chávez and Evo Morales, marked. A path that today we came to realize with these agreements”, said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister.

“Within the framework of the Latin American union, the ALBA TCP, and Unasur, Bolivia and Venezuela are advancing together,” added Gil.

For his part, the Bolivian diplomat pointed out that this Third Joint Commission between Venezuela and Bolivia seeks to “strengthen and deepen our bilateral, diplomatic relations of friendship complementarity and cooperationwhich will allow us to advance precisely in our common agenda“.

“Our goal has always been to work in this process of Latin American integration,” added the Foreign Minister of Bolivia.

Regarding the Commission, Mayta pointed out that this Wednesday the negotiation process will conclude to advance in the ten instruments that would be addressed. Likewise, he explained that they are working on the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, which will allow both countries to advance in cooperation.

Work progresses between Venezuela and Bolivia

After the installation, two sectoral work tables were formed to evaluate economic and commercial issues, and social and political ones, AVN reported.

After the discussions, they will prepare a declaration that will be signed this Thursday by the presidents of Venezuela and Bolivia, Nicolás Maduro and Luis Arce, respectively.

The meetings will address the deepening of bilateral and diplomatic relations, as well as Latin American integration through organizations such as Celac, Alba-TCP and Unasur, Bolivia’s Vice Foreign Minister Freddy Mamani reported.

On the other hand, the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, indicated that in recent months there have been more than 90 work meetings prior to the installation of this III Mixed Commission to update the map of binational cooperation.
