Electricity industry workers will go on strike on May 16

The Electrical Industry Workers Union (SITIESPA) announced that it is starting the countdown of 20 business days to call a strike at ENSA.

This strike will begin on May 16, as a result of the inability and refusal of the administration to reach agreements at the negotiating table with the negotiating delegates of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development, which acts as conciliator.

“The intransigent, absurd and abusive attitude of the company’s negotiators, in ignoring clause 86 “ASSISTANCE AWARD” already signed (SITIESPA-COMPANY), jeopardizes all previously agreed clauses”, says a SITIESPA statement.

The workers, through SITIESPA, demand their right to a salary increase, a discount for residential consumption and a private insurance policy.

It was also known that workers from other companies in the electricity sector affiliated with SITIESPA will join this strike call.
