Sources on condition of anonymity denounced that the Police at the service of the regime of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo kidnapped two relatives and two neighbors of the former and political exile Danny Garcia GonzalezOriginally from Monimbó, Masaya.
The detainees are an uncle and a cousin of the opponent, father and son respectively, both identified as Juan Garcia. The first was violently taken from his house, at about 11 pm on Saturday, April 15, while his father was arrested in the morning hours of yesterday, Sunday.

The other two kidnapped people were nelly garcia and her husband Eddie Castillo, neighbors of the family of the politically released prisoner; the couple was taken from their home the same Saturday night.
So far the authorities have not reported the reason for the arbitrary detention. The four citizens are being held in the Directorate of Judicial Assistance (DAJ), known as “El Nuevo Chipote”, in Managua.
Another source close to the detainees told Article 66 that at the time of the raid, the Police did not find any alleged evidence to implicate them, so it does not rule out that this new attack has political overtones.
This means of communication learned that at noon on this Monday, April 17, the relatives of the detainees went to leave food at “El Nuevo Chipote” and they were received.

“This new onslaught is another way of keeping the people in terror, letting them know that the same thing can happen to anyone who thinks differently from them – the Nicaraguan regime -,” said a source on condition of anonymity.
Since the beginning of Holy Week and on the eve of the commemoration of the five years of the civic rebellion of April 19, more than 20 opponents have been kidnapped by the Ortega Police, the majority have not been brought before a judicial authority.
According to civil society organizations, there are more than 40 political prisoners locked up in the different prisons of the country, 10 of them have been captive since before the social protests in 2018.
