The industrial activity registered in December an increase of 10.1% compared to the same month of 2020 and closed the year with a rise of 15.8%while the construction activity rose by 4.6% year-on-year in December and in the accumulated figure for the last year grew 30.8% compared to 2020reported this Tuesday the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
This follows from the December indicators released for manufacturing industrial production and the situation for construction activity, which also allowed the statistical closing of last year.

According to the INDEC survey, industrial activity in December achieved a increase of 10.1% compared to the same month of 2020closed the year with a rise of 15.8%, and the seasonally adjusted series showed a positive variation of 0.6% compared to the previous month.
Regarding the construction activity rose in December by 4.6% year-on-year and in the accumulated of the last year it grew by 30.8% compared to 2020, while the seasonally adjusted series showed a positive variation of 2.7% compared to November 2021.

After the figures were released, sources from the Ministry of Economy highlighted that construction has been on the rise for 14 consecutive months, and managed to reach a level of activity that is 26.5% higher than the pre-pandemic level.
On Industrial productionit was also noted that accumulates 14 consecutive months of growth and in the last month of 2021 it registered the highest level for a December since the start of the series in 2016.
