Execution of projects with royalties in the last two years is at 45.5%

For the 2021 – 2022 biennium, $20.7 billion in resources were approved to be executed in more than 5,700 projects throughout the country from royalties. Of these, Up to now, $9.4 billion have been executed, 45.5% of the total.

When these are broken down by the sector to which the projects correspond, it is found that interior (87%), planning (85%) and work (68%) have been the ones with the greatest execution so far. These add up to 19 plans that were approved for this period with a budget of $38,366 million.

On the contrary, those with the least progress are defense (0%), statistical information (18%) and science and technology (21%) They have a total of 489 and a budget of $1.5 billion to run.

It should be remembered that for that period, the budget contemplated that most of the resources would be for direct allocations, whose budget was $12.6 billion; followed by allocations for regional investment that would receive a total of $6.2 billion. This, taking into account that the estimated revenue was $29 billion, although this goal was not reached during this period, according to data from Sicodis.

This collection occurred at one of the moments in which the mining-energy sector generated one of the largest contributions due to the high prices of commodities. These resources are destined to satisfy needs of the regions in which mining and oil companies operate.

For this reason, the sectors that have the greatest number of projects and resources are transportation, housing, and education.

These three total 3,132 projects, which are 54% of all those who were approved for this period. In the case of transportation, which includes works such as paving and road improvements and bridge construction, the execution advances by 45% of the $6.5 billion allocated.

On the other hand, for housing, $3.3 trillion was approved in 1,048 projects, which include the construction of sewers and aqueducts, territorial planning schemes and construction of sanitary units, among others. This has an advance of 47% in its execution.

Finally, the case of education, This has 529 works such as construction and provision of classrooms, sports centers, among others. These already have a joint advance of 57% of the $2.8 trillion that was allocated.

It should be noted that the horizon of the majority of Those works were scheduled for 2022 or 2023.
