French Constitutional Council rejects referendum on pension reform

The Constitutional Council of France approved, this Friday, the delay of the minimum retirement age from 62 to 64 years and rejected the request to submit the pension reform to a referendum.

Through a statement, the Constitutional Council reported six articles of the law, promoted by the Government of Emmanuel Macron, were invalidated, these are related to the hiring of workers over 55 years of age in large companies.

Faced with the decision of the Council, the days of protests and strikes continue, this Friday thousands of people returned to the main streets of Paris to show their rejection of this reform.
