Carabineros detained two officials of the Investigative Police (PDI) early Thursday for a fight between them on public roads, in the Viña del Mar commune, Valparaíso Region.
According Bio Bio Radio, police personnel noticed that both PDI officials – who belong to the Human Rights department – were hitting each other at the intersection of Avenida Valparaíso with Calle Ecuador. Both were intoxicated.
One of the detainees was left with serious injuries to one of his legs due to an internal fracture in the malleolus. The other official did not present major injuries.
Prosecutor’s Office pointed to one of those apprehended as the perpetrator of the crime of aggression. The Public Ministry considered the other member of the PDI as a victim.
