Carabineros detained a third suspect for the death of the Carabineros non-commissioned officer Daniel Palma. This was reported by the North Central Prosecutor of the Metropolitan Region this Thursday afternoon on his Twitter account.
“Centro Norte Prosecutor’s Office and Chilean Carabineros managed to arrest the third member of the gang responsible for the homicide of Petty Officer Daniel Palma. The defendant is involved in a shooting prior to the carabinero’s crime and was arrested for the crime of frustrated homicide,” they said from the Public Ministry .

Let’s remember that Carabineros arrested two other suspects on Monday for the murder of the non-commissioned officer: Luis Lugo Machado and Ovimarlixion Garcés Briceñoboth of Venezuelan nationality.
The Seventh Guarantee Court of Santiago extended the detention of both. They are being held in the High Security Unit of the Gendarmerie. The formalization hearing will be held on Thursday, April 13 at about 3:00 p.m.
