Chamber hearing with Dino is closed after confusion between deputies

The hearing at the Commission for Public Security and Combating Organized Crime of the Chamber of Deputies to hear the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, was closed in the face of squabbling and confusion between parliamentarians from the government base and opposition.

During the hearing, some registered deputies even asked the minister questions. Opposition parliamentarians interrupted the minister in response, who stopped speaking. Deputies allied with the government reacted to the interruptions.

With the climate of animosity, the chairman of the commission, Deputy Sanderson (PL-RS), announced the end of the session. Flávio Dino got up and left the room. According to Sanderson, the hearing will be rescheduled.

Dino was invited by the commission to answer questions about various topics, including the gun control decree and the anti-democratic acts of January 8.

At the beginning of the hearing, Flávio Dino reported actions taken by the government to combat drug trafficking, seizure of illegal weapons and violence in schools.

Last month, the minister participated in a hearing at the Chamber’s Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ). At the time, there was also talk between federal deputies.
