The National Executive has been promoting measures and investments to help the process of recovery and reactivation of works of the National Railway System.
The Ezequiel Zamora Central Railway System that includes the Caracas-Miranda route was born as part of one of the policies of the Bolivarian Government for the development of this service for the well-being of Venezuelans, for which it was inaugurated by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution , Hugo Chávez, on October 15, 2006.
Likewise, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, approved in 2022, 150 million dollars for the rehabilitation of the underground transport system and another 16 million euros for investment in the rails.
