The Secretary General of the Movement for Socialism (FURTHER), Felipe Mujica, urged the administration of Nicolás Maduro to activate all the legal mechanisms provided in the Constitution so that all those who are being prosecuted for corruption are questioned in the National Assembly, with which, in his opinion, the process would take a path institutional.
Mujica insisted on the need to respect the autonomy of the powers so that they can operate independently without having to depend on the figure of the president to be able to work.

In the opinion of the MAS leader, some statements offered by President Nicolás Maduro on December 3, 2020 allow us to infer that at least since that year the government already knew what was happening in terms of corruption, as well as referring to the fact that the The Legislative Branch has the power to question and from there take a vote of no confidence, “which is nothing other than the immediate dismissal of the designated official.”
He warned that, despite the fact that there are statements by the prosecutor appointed by the now extinct constituent assembly, Tarek William Saab, in which he is giving advances on how the investigations into corruption cases are going, there are still facts that are not clear from the everything and questions the silence of former Oil Minister Tareck El Aissami, who is the one who must clarify what is happening but “does not appear anywhere.”
Regarding the Essequibo territory, the general secretary of the MAS considers that Venezuela has not yet lost the dispute with Guyana, but for this the State must have a broader and more mature position, coupled with an attitude of patriotism that exalts the name of the country and with the appointment of a commission made up of “the best” on the issue, regardless of their political affiliation.

Felipe Mujica also spoke about the proposal made by the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, about the international conference to reactivate the dialogues in Mexico, saying that the MAS insists that the dialogue has to be with the entire Venezuelan society and where issues are addressed. that affect everyone in order to reach concrete solutions.
“We make a call to the opposition sectors again: Let’s try to reach an agreement so that we can bring to this dialogue scenario a shared proposal about the vision that is held in this part of the country that is the majority from the electoral point of view,” he concluded. .
