Police arrested three men involved in the bullet attack a Nacional fan last Sundayin the preview of the match between the tricolors and Danube.
As reported by Telemundo (Channel 12) and confirmed The Observerthere are three detainees for the weekend incident, including the young man shot himself. The authorities await the imputation of these people.
The episode began when a young man – dressed in a Peñarol jersey – was eating with his girlfriend in a restaurant near the Danubio stadium, on Libia and Camino Maldonado streets, where the match against Nacional was going to be played.
A group of Nacional fans was there and began to argue with the young man, who was beaten. According to Telemundo, after the beating he returned to his house and it was then that his father took a weapon and returned to the restaurant. Once at the scene, he shot a Nacional fan in the leg.
