Figali Convention Center will no longer attend COVID-19 cases

Given the low numbers of infections and care due to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health (MINSA) decided to close the facilities that were set up in the old Figali Convention Center in Amador for the care of positive patients who required hospitalization or treatment.

During its authorization, this COVID-19 care center served more than 5,000 people, especially in the most critical moments of the pandemic.

In the same way, those who present symptoms or are detected positive for COVID-19 are requested to attend the San Miguel Arcángel hospital located in San Miguelito where they will be treated; while for swab tests they can go to any primary level health facility (Health Centers and Police Centers), as well as the Rod Carew stadiums on Vía del Centenario and Emilio Royo in Juan Díaz.

The Minsa reiterates to the population the importance of maintaining preventive self-care measures and reminds citizens to apply the bivalent vaccine against COVID-19 in health facilities set up for this purpose starting at 7 in the morning in all the country.
