A group of representatives of the miners from Bajo Cauca and Northeast Antioquia arrived at the Rifles Battalion in Caucasia, with the purpose of delivering the letter made by mayors and social leaders, where they raised a list of requests to President Gustavo Petro, with the purpose of reaching an agreement and thus being able to lift the mining strike.

Saul Bedoya, a spokesman for the miners, stated that they submitted the request and hope that they will receive an answer during the day. Likewise, Bedoya thanked the Minister of the Environment, Susana Muhamad, because she was the one who facilitated the rapprochement with President Gustavo Petro and the ministers.

It should be noted that the mining strike began on March 2 in the two sub-regions of Antioquia, south of Córdoba and south of Bolívar. In addition, in the midst of this mobilization, roadblocks, humanitarian crises and fear have been generated in the Antioquia territory by criminal hands that disguised the social protest, in criminal actions.
