Through a statement, the Ministry of Labor ordered national holiday for this Friday, because it is celebrated Holy Friday. In addition, it determined that the public sector will work in continuous hours east Holy Thursdaywhile, for the private sector, the provision is subject to agreement between the parties.

Statement Ministry of Labor determines Good Friday holiday

“For April 6 of this year, Holy Thursdayis available for the Public administration at the national level, continuous working day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and this provision must be coordinated by the personnel offices of each public institution,” reads part of the statement.

Elsewhere, it can be read: “on April 7 of the present management (Good Friday), constitutes a National Holiday, declaring suspension of public and private activities throughout the territory of the Plurinational State of Bolivia”.

In the last part of the document it indicates, regarding the schedule of Thursday 6: “The companies or institutions of the private sector, must adapt this determination by agreement of the parties, considering their modalities and work schedules”.
