Pino: “More than 10 units have fallen trying to introduce prohibited items into prisons”

Angel Valdes | April 5, 2023

The Minister of Security, Juan Manuel Pino, indicated that more than 10 units between police officers and guards have been caught trying to bring prohibited items into prisons and assured that they will continue to fall as they continue to search the prisons.

“It is not only control from the outside, it is control from the inside, police have fallen, units of the Penitentiary System have fallen, more than 10 and they will continue to fall,” Pino said.

This is because they have placed personnel who have nothing to do with the personnel who work in the Penitentiary System, to carry out the searches, a hybrid system that is working according to Minister Pino.
