After 8:00 p.m. this Tuesday, the bodies of Luis Fernando Panoso (23) and the Brazilian Flavio Dos Santos, both lost their lives after being shot in Puerto Quijarro, were removed by their relatives from the Pampa de la Isla judicial morgue.

The deceased arrived in the Santa Cruz capital Monday afternoon, after an order from the Prosecutor’s Office for them to be subjected to a law autopsy.

Ilsen Rojas, mother of Luis Fernando, announced that her son received between six and seven shots, and one of the bullets hit him in the heart. While the Brazilian received at least one accurate shot, according to his sister.

Flavio’s remains were transferred to the border city of Corumbá, where his relatives will bid him their last goodbye. While the 23-year-old Bolivian will be buried in Puerto Quijarro.

“He (Flavio) lived in my house for about two months, he shared a plate of food with us,” said Luis Fernando’s mother.

The double crime was recorded on the night of Sunday, April 2at 11:30 p.m., when unknown subjects shot them both outside a rokola, in front of the bus terminal of said municipality.

Freddy Guzmán, prosecutor assigned to the case, stated that the investigations continue to be carried out to determine the motives and that in this sense several people were summoned to give their statement. To date there have been no arrests.

According to the confirmation of the Prosecutor’s Office, Flavio has a series of police records and he was wanted in his country for murdering a military policeman and a young university student.

The departmental prosecutor, Róger Mariaca, stated that Luis Fernando had a record for trafficking controlled substances by Law 1008 in Bolivia.

“This fact is in the form of a reckoning,” said Mariaca.
