Rafael Nadal will not play in Monte Carlo as he has not recovered from his injury

The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal announced that he will not participate in the Monte Carlo Masters because he did not recover in time from the injury that has kept him out for several months.

At the Australian Open, Nadal suffered a hip injury since then he has kept working for his recovery, however, he announced this Tuesday, April 4, that he is still not 100% physically.

In this period of time he has not participated in the Miami Open and the Indians Wells Master 1000, also it is not yet clear if he will be able to be at Roland Garros, a tournament that he has won 14 times and which starts in May.

«I am not yet ready to compete at the highest level. I will not be able to play in one of the most important tournaments of my career, Monte Carlo. I am not yet in a position to play with the maximum guarantees and I continue my preparation process, hoping to return soon, “said Nadal through his social networks.

Now it only remains to wait if the Spaniard manages to be physically prepared to participate in the Roland Garros that begins on May 28 and ends on June 11.
