The Minister of Government, Roger Tejada, detailed the agreement with the firefighters who held protests demanding payment of promotions for justice.
He said that it has already been possible to establish a purchase plan for the equipment that these personnel must use for firefighting and to improve the conditions of the barracks.
He added that another of the agreements was to specify the management of the budget for the payment of promotions since more than 300 have been given and this increase must be given.
He indicated that the State Budget Department has already reported that they have the funds for the promotions that will be given from April to December 2023.
“326 promotions have been given, that is, in an acceptable number and a next block is being managed,” he said.
He specified that in January 4 lines of action were approved that include promotions, training, institutional strengthening and reinforcement of barracks, in addition to purchases of equipment, boots, uniforms, among others.
